Thank you for your generous comments on my photography of bequia! I often wondered what those from vincy might think of my work, and I'm honoured that you at least don't find it bland vacation-photography :) Bequia was a wonderful place for a 2 week visit, and I hope to explore more of the grenadines next time. I had a chance to hike to "La Soufriere" from Georgetown on my last day, and I realized that I missed out on a lot in vincy.

If you don't mind, I will spend some time browsing your collection -- I'm particularly interested in how 'insider' photography is different from mine as an 'outsider' to the islands.

and it is nice to see that a "foreigner/visitor" not
coming and making postcard pics
i myself have to go up to the soufiere cause
i haven't been there in ages...it would be great again
it has about
4 people here from st vincent..well that i know about
and they have pics of the island too if you are to check them
out





yeah and we are all semi friends...
semi cause i dont know the guys to much

No, it was not a comment on feminism: you just wrote you disliked the deviation (I cannot even remember which one...mumble mumble).
As for your age, wait... I see you're 23 and I'm 24...yep, you're right we're old ( :D ) compared to much ppl here, but yet so young...mmm. I'm not popular as well as you and I don't care. Moreover I feel free to say whatever I like, as you. It seems we're on the same mind-frame. Nice ;)!

I don't wanna thank you for any comment..you never left me one up to now :) (Smile) . I just want you to know that I was impressed by your vote to *myheadphones' deviation "Institutionalized"...you seem to be the only one who dislikes it and instead of saying nothing as it often happens in these cases, you had the honesty to admit it openly. I really appreciate ppl who don't fear to tell what they really think even if it's unpopular...

Sorry for the late reply (1 month late...). I didn't realize I had any notes...

As for my comments on 'institutionalized', I wish I could find what I wrote :) It looks like *myheadphones does not have that deviation up anymore, so I cannot read my comments again to refresh my memory. The last thing I remember writing was a comment on feminism.. is that the same one?
"You seem to be the only one who dislikes it" made me laugh.

My opinions are famously unpopular, especially with the dvart crowd... because i'm not much of an artist, and the age group is a little younger than I am for the most part... I come here to enjoy other people's art. I try not to ever criticize the art itself, or the artist, unless something really bothers me.
As for speaking my mind, I suppose I don't really give a shit what people think about me, but I hope they at least think about what I say.

As for your gallery, it is wonderful and I'm glad you recommended it to me. +Fav for your self portrait, both a lovely subject and wonderful photographic technique; I am surprised there were no other +favs for it. Also very much enjoyed "FoGlIaPaViMeNto", great attention to detail.. beautiful shadows and depth of field.
